VEDA Travel is the travel branch of La Maison VEDA. We design and accompany journeys across Sri Lanka, blending nature, culture and well-being, with a private driver and an all-inclusive itinerary. Four journeys, designed and travelled by us, are ready to go — we then adapt them to your dates, your pace and your group.

This experience comes naturally to us: after almost every retreat we host, we organise a journey for the group. We know first-hand how to move small groups comfortably across the island, without ever losing the spirit of the stay.

The Trails of Sri Lanka

Safari, mountains and sacred mysteries

Yala → Ella → Haputale → Kandy → Dambulla → Sigiriya

From the elephants of Yala to the misty tea plantations, from the legendary mountain train to the Lion Rock, this journey crosses the island's most breathtaking landscapes in six days. You travel in a small group with a private driver, on an itinerary we designed and experienced ourselves. Every stop, every viewpoint, every address chosen with care. All you have to do is let yourself be carried along.

Royal Cities & the Northern Road

Cultural journey

7 days / 6 nights
Dambulla → Sigiriya (2 nights) → Minneriya → Polonnaruwa → Anuradhapura → Jaffna (3 nights) and its islands

This journey traces the thread of Sri Lanka's history: the painted caves of Dambulla, the fortress of Sigiriya, the elephants of Minneriya, the royal ruins of Polonnaruwa, the sacred capital of Anuradhapura, then the northern road to Jaffna, the island's other face, Tamil and insular, that so few travellers take the time to discover. A journey for those who want to understand the soul of this country, not just cross it.

The Grand Island Tour

Culture, mountains and safaris

13 days / 12 nights, or 14 days with the Trincomalee option from May to October
Dambulla → Sigiriya (2 nights) → Minneriya → Polonnaruwa → Anuradhapura → Jaffna (3 nights) → Kandy (2 nights) → mountain train → Ella (3 nights) → Haputale → Yala → Hiriketiya → La Maison VEDA

The complete journey, for those who want to live it all: the royal cities of the Cultural Triangle, the northern road to Jaffna and its islands, the Temple of the Tooth, the legendary mountain train, three nights to breathe in Ella, the Yala safari, and a last swim at Hiriketiya before arriving at La Maison VEDA, where the journey ends, or carries on. Two weeks at the right pace: never two big days in a row, base camps to unpack in, and time to let the island sink in.

Sri Lanka with the Family

The island, gently

Dambulla and Sigiriya (3 nights) → Kandy → Nuwara Eliya → panoramic train → Ella (4 nights) → Udawalawe (2 nights) → La Maison VEDA (6 nights)

Discovering Sri Lanka with children, without the rush: that is exactly what this journey offers. The great sites of the Cultural Triangle at a gentle pace, the botanical gardens of Kandy, the panoramic mountain train, four settled nights in Ella, a safari in Udawalawe with a visit to the elephant orphanage, then the final reward: a week in your own lakeside villa, between beach, turtles, whales, surf, yoga and massages. The trip your children will remember, and the one you will come home rested from.

Hosting a retreat at La Maison VEDA? Offer your students the chance to continue with a journey across the country. In practice, it is almost always the whole group that signs up: the bonds formed during the week make everyone want to carry on together.
